These 'wooden' sculptures grow on the volcanic slopes in Guatemala. The Mayan people call them the "roses of hell" because they were the only flowers that grew in the lower region and were able to escape to the beautiful, sunlit, upper slopes of the inactive volcanoes. This sculpture is cast in a biodegradable, eco-friendly stone composite, from original specimens collected by local Mayan natives.
